Boy it's the absolute that the memory's the 2nd. thing to go. Ida' bet me 1st. born I'd posted on this jhummer. After going back past the vintage date I finally gave up. This si a food mans pinot. Brite ruby. Nose still somewhat restrained but shows classic pinot strawberries, forest floor, spice and all come over on the taste. High enough acidity to cut thru spicy foods easily and balanced enough to age and develop for the nexr 1-12. Another killer bottle from the Jarvis Vineyard(est 1863). 91/93 30 12.5% alc. WW

Made a huge pot of Chicken soup yesterday and decided to open another of these. Still on track to become another killer bottling from this now extinct vineyard. (SCMV was sold and the new owners tore up ALL of these marvelous old vines planted in 69 and replaced them). The last vintage from the Jarvis vineyard (originally planted in 1863) will be the 2003 to be released later. Jeff has a new vineyard he believes will be as good as the Jarvis but as the old saw goes "Show me Bubba, talk be cheap!". No change in scoring. WW
