Had lunch in Montreal today with our partners in an area just outside of old Montreal but east of the tracks, an area that is increasingly trendy. I love this area.

Lunch at a local converted building (no signage outside, locals only). I had a soup and a paradelle with rabbit ragu. The pasta was just awesome. Gonna have to go back for more. The wine to match was this.

Slightly muted on the nose (it was not decanted), a bit strong on the wood for me but definitely a strong amount of dark fruit underneath, dusty, and muted overall given the impression of being fully stuffed. This lacks some of the elegance that I was hoping for.

They do a nice pasta boar meat ragu at Dino's on Connecticut Avenue, DC. We have had a couple offlines there.
