- TheEngineer - 04-28-2007 Opens a bit tight right now. Needed about a couple hours worth of air. Very clear and bright, this is a pretty wine to look at and this theme continues. Very fruity floral nose, and a dose of cedar and tobacco. On the palate, a bit forward, cherry, red fruits, plum. Hint of minerals, tannins in check, pretty and elegant. About $40. - wondersofwine - 04-30-2007 Your note reminded me that I have a La Pousse d'Or (not the Santenay but I think a 1er Cru also) somewhere in my collection that may be ready for drinking. Will look for it for late May or early June possibly. - VouvrayHead - 04-30-2007 I have an '02 Santenay 1er Cru, any guesses if it's closed for business? - TheEngineer - 05-01-2007 It's maybe only me but none of the 02's that I've had are closed.....though they should be. The '02's are suppose to last for quite some time though so I would not open them yet. That's why I'm picking away at other things. - VouvrayHead - 05-01-2007 okey-dokey! Since I buy by the bottle and not the case, I have to be careful about my timing! Thanks! [This message has been edited by VouvrayHead (edited 05-01-2007).] |
