Maresh is a grapegrower in Willamette, and the wines are made by others, labeled Maresh, and sold only at the winery. Anne and I picked this up in August when we visited. Great place, and very nice people. Anyway, this was produced by Archery Summit, whose Maresh wines we preferred to those made by Rex Hill (though we preferred the reserve single vineyard Rex Hill wines better than the Archery stuff when we visited both of them -- go figure). We opened it on T-giving, me with the Tofurkey, Anne with the real thing. Very transparent light ruby color with slight bricking along the edges. Pretty and delicate, feminine strawberry and anise aromas and flavors that carry on farther than the color would suggest. This was a nice drink, and cost all of $14 at the winery. Alc. 13%.
