Beautiful. All the reasons why we drink burgundy. Not a perfect wine to be sure but very nicely presented.

Very elegant nose, earth, berries, pomegranate, floral. On the palate much the same. The wine was elegant, nice supple texture, medium bodied and long persistence. Wonderful even in the context of the wines this evening.

I like different appellations of Burgundy for different aspects (some are more silky, some more meaty or mushroomy, some more robust or rustic)but if I were naming a favorite, it would be Chambolle-Musigny.
