Still on par with ANY Pinot produced in America(IMHO). Brite ruby. Shy nose that takes an hour to open. Shows lovely Straw, Rasp, and a touch of blue berries, sweet spices, and some barnsy notes. All hit the palate. Nice entry, weighty center, and a 4 lapper finish. Still has a ton of silky tannins that shut it down in the throat. Needs another 2-4 to finish its journey. 91/90 45 at the winery 14.2% alc. WW

Had another with my lunch yesterday to accompany a new dish for the weener.."Wild Marinated WHITE Salmon Fillets". Both were absolutely delicious. The salmon doesn't seem to have the depth of flavor as the Copper River variety (available now at Costco) but with the excellent Pinot from Mr. Bergland was a real treat. The nose of the pinot has expanded with spice and earthy notes in the mix. Not much to add except the usual buyers remorse of "why dint I buy more?" WW

I'm a fan of this Pinot Noir also having had several glasses at Enoteca Vin in Raleigh before the restaurant closed.

Another at the club today at our Thurs prayer meeting. Also took a 2002 SCMV estate. If these aren't in the top 5 Pinot producers in the country then call me "leather-tongue" and put me in a box with the Buckster with nothing but SWs' for eternity. WW

After the radiation today decided to open the last of my stash of this yummski stuff. Probably will go for at least another 8-10 but has so much going for it why wait? Really kick-patootie nose, lovely moputhfeel, and a finish that approaches the legendary 5-lapper. Really GOOD sruff. WW
