Another in the Loring line-up that takes no prisoners. An elegant almost " banana cream cherry " element adds interest and character to this lovely bottling. Lush entry, solid center and a 4+-lapper finish put this into the outstanding catagory. Some silky tannins still present but not intrusive. 90/90. 45 on release. 14.1% alc. WW

Loring had bottle samples of these wines at last year's MoCool event in Ann Arbor, MI.
The Brosseau was the favorite of one of the event organizers whose palate I highly respect. I was a bit partial to the Clos Pepe and Gary's Vineyard but may have been influenced by their reputation. Would like to resample all of Loring's line-up blind and see what stands out.

Lots of difference WOW between the small 275ml bottles I've sampled and the 750s. I still have the Rancho Ontiveros to taste from the biggies which I'll open tonight. So much diversity in the bottlings I havenm't even come close to a favorite yet. WW

Opened another of these for lunch yesterday and with the exception of a more pronounced nose the tasting notes are identical. Believe this so far is the most balanced and feminine of the outastanding 02 bottlings. Probablt due to the fruit coming from the Chalone AVA. WW

I've found all of Loring's wines to be wonderful. My favorite is usually whichever one I happen to be drinking at the time.

Another lunch, another bottle. Not a lot of difference from the last bottle with the exception of a more pronounced nose displaying ,more of the candied elements. A really likable bottle. Can't see a change in the scoring. Massive juice. WW

NO Loring here in Maryland, but my wife brought an '03 back from New York last week. Same vineyard. She was only able to find 1 bottle there. Have you had the '03? If so, could you give a good drinking window? I've been wanting to try a Loring pinot for about a year and only have the 1 bottle so I really don't want to wait too long. Anyway, thanks in advance.

Found the post finally. Looking for the Rancho Ont. as I tried another last nite. WW

Had this for lunch today and this has developed beautifully. Add some sweet cinnamon to the mix and more complexity hits the ole palate. Hard to decide which of the 02s is my favorite. No change in scoring. WW
