This is a Cru Bourgeois from the Medoc; a nice 12.5% alc/vol, inky deep ruby in the glass, nose of bruised black currants, drying fruit on the palate with French oak quite prominent, sufficient tannins to carry it at least 5. Will be interesting to sample it over 3-5 or so. All of $11.69 at Costco.

Gosh I wish our Costcos sold wine. (sigh)

Their selection is limited and the good stuff is quickly sold out.... but their max 14% mark-up makes for some real bargains in this confounded market. Have gotten to the point of not even visiting my discounter more than once per month, in favor of weekly visits to Costco. Even he can't match their prices.

Ho boy!! I have been searching for this wine for a while now. I live in North California, and our Costco tells me that our region does not have this wine. Does anybody know of a Costco in California that has it in stock???

Checked with Costco HQ, and was told that none of this wine would be placed in any Costcos in California.

Does anybody know any place in California that has this wine for sale????

Check with Roberto at Wine Expo in Santa Monica, 1-800-WINE-EXPO.

With leftover potroast tonight. Probably at its peak, with red fruit dominant, esp. sour cherries, and tannins all but faded away. Nice, easy-drinking Bordeaux, and still very much a bargain.
