Imported by Stacole Co. Inc., Boca Raton, FL. On sale at Macarthur's Beverages, DC for $20.99.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
Deep cordovan color; opaque. Nose of black currants, dark plum, autumn leaves, tobacco. On the palate it tastes like it may be in a secondary or tertiary stage. Dark plum is part of the flavor profile. A little tartness but still enjoyable. Cellar Tracker notes from 2008 and 2009 indicate that it is aging and should be consumed soon. I had it with New York strip steak cooked medium rare and a baked potato. I also tried the final glass with cheese and it was okay with Cheddar but not a good match to Swiss cheese.
