A Bordeaux Superieur made from 70% merlot, 15% cabernet sauvignon and 15% cabernet franc. Lots of character in this wine showing raspberry and blueberry with cinnamon oak flavors that finished ultra smooth. I'm finding a lot in Bordeaux Superieur!

-My one smart buying decision came with the 82 Bordeaux vintage when among the 100+ cases I bought 32 Superiors. Let me take my sweet time on drinking the growths. WW

A small difference between 39 and change for all 5 1sts, 24-28 for the 2nds, on down to 8-11 bucks for the superiors than the 09s are bringing today. Think me total outlay was under 45 or so. Wish I'd had the will power to put the 1sts and 2nds outta' reach.............NAH! What a kick in the patootie I had whenced I opened my last Lafite last month and one of my closest friends who had just completed successfully the prostrate regimum sat on my back veranda and we drank that sucker. He knew it was special and that gave me more pleasure than a few bucks mite have. Now all I have are the 95s and 00s. Life is good regardlesswhatever. WW

WW, you know I agree with you. Most guys I know that are patient and enjoy wine wouldn't care to fart around in selling the wines they carefully kept for so long. I would have done the same thing. I just don't understand why people feel compelled to invest in wine. Its a great and yes, collectible beverage, but its meant to be enjoyed. Its just my opinion though. I bought some 2005's and 2006's but 2007's were a straight rip off and 2009's were just not worth the money. I am trying to buy up some 2000's if I can find them at the right price. One in particular I am dying to find is the 2000 Pavie. An insane wine, almost as good as sex.

We're getting in some of the 09's now. Had one this past weekend that was actually quite good. It was the Ch. Roc de Segur, and we sell it for $11.99. Don't know the exact blend, but it's mostly Merlot with some Cab Sauv. Admittedly, it's not a world beater, but it is a nice pleasant food wine.
