Third wine of Calon Segur. In initial impression was that it was okay, I shouldn't complain ...but I hope the first wine is going to have more impact.... After a few hours of air, it came to.

Wine is dark purple garnet with nose of berries and black currant and some glycerin. A hint of dark chocolate and older wood. Medium bodied, and soft, some tannins (and an initially hollow mid-palate). Finishes a bit hot, but remains pretty fresh.

hmm..much the same...not much okay but nothing to be enthused at. Guess by the time they got to their third wine...they were scraping the bottom of their barrels....

Isn't that what the term "3rd wine" means? WW

As the Italians say: "Primo, secundo, dregso."

Last of the bottles purchased and totally okay with that. It was an okay bottle for the price but certain does not appear to get any better with more time. Time to drink up! Actually reasonable with a turkey sandwich for midnight snack...... gotta find a way to finish those turkeys...
