Hi,
I am serving strawberries marinated in a balsamic vinegar/sugar/lemon juice mixture, topped with a whipped, sweetened mascarpone cheese. I was thinking of serving champagne with it, but I was wondering if it would clash with the balsamic vinegar.
Can someone offer some guidance?
Thanks in advance!

LAMBRUSCO!!!!!! It is from the zona of the vinegar and will work fabulously.

Catleen, don't forget to sprinkle a tiny bit of black pepper on the berries. I know that it sounds funny, but it truly enhances the flavor of the fruit. Roberto, any specific labels to look for in serving with this type of dish?? WD

Thanks for the help, Roberto. Our plans changed, and I didn't get to make the strawberry dish until this week. The lambrusco was so nice with this. Sweeter than I thought it would be. It reminded me of a lighter, sweeter Chambord.
