Very dark garnet color. Nose of cassis and coffee. Great big and chewy mouthfeel but still with strong though fine tannins. Medium to full body.

On the palate was a bright red fruit like rasberry and some dark fruit, a bit sour and cedar wood, but with a great long finish and a long, long finish of berries and cherries. I liked this quite a bit and so did the table. I will look for this again. This is the second wine of Château Margaux.

Had it at Farallon Restaurant in San Francisco. Great place BTW but bottle was $100.

Checked Spec's (Houston) website and their price is $41 and change. At least the restaurant didn't charge you triple retail, the common practice here.

This is a baby. Needs another 3-5 IMHO. Think I posted on this hummer during my 00 Bordeaux review. WW

Your right about the time. Tannins have some ways to go still and It could come together a bit more.
