I have been aging a case of this wine in my dad's cellar and was thinking that now would be a good time to open the first bottle (since I have a case, I won't be too disappointed if it's too early.) Since I just discovered this place, thought I'd throw it out to the Bordeaux types here and see if anyone has recently tasted a bottle of '99 Carruades??

I'd hang on until at least next year, but if you can't wait give it a shot. Definitely decant with lots of air and let it set for an hour.

Had a b ottle of this 3 weeks ago and must say this dog can hunt. Still needs another 6-12 but will, as IK ventured, show well with 1-1&2 hours in a decanter. Good Juice! Ww

Thank you, gents, for your replies. I tend to be a somewhat impatient person, but I have a few older Leoville Bartons that I can do damage to while I wait....
