i recently came across two bottle of wine. i cannot seem to find any info.
1) vin de bordeaux, Recolte 1979, chateau de marsan, bordeaux rouge, appellation bordeaux rouge controlled

2) vin de bordeaux, chateau de beauregard 1982, bordeaux, appellation bordeaux controlled

any info would be greatly appreciated.

These both belong to the broadest ("Generic") Bordeaux appellation, which has less rigorous standards with regard to yields, vitification and vinification standards, etc. than the regional (e.g. Medoc) and commune (e.g. Pauillac) Bordeaux appellations. And neither are they very noteworthy houses. In other words, you need to go ahead and pop those corks and have some back ups ready in case they are vinegar.

That said, 1982 was a great year...
