Was able to taste this wine the other night. Very interesting as the nose contradicted the palate or the other way around. The nose told me the wine was just past its prime with its raisiny or porty nose. The palate, however, was surprisingly youthful. The wine was excellent. This was roughly a 2 oz taste given to me and I can only say I am thankful but really wish I had more. How long can this wine really last? The youthful fruit on the palate was quite astonishing. My guess is this bottle had another 5 to 10 yrs in it.

If anyone here has this, don't wait too long as my estimation may be wrong and this wine is singing right now.

Had my last bottle in 97 or98 and it seemed to be a baby then. Had traded for 2 bottles with a friend in NY City. Didn't have the port nose you found but could have been the difference in the provenance. WW

Talk to Winoweenie. On second thought, I think his cellar's already spoken for.
