2002 Domaine de FV551ACV5 Macon-Fuisse ($14 Blue Hill Wine Shop). Despite the strange domaine name, this was a very nice though straightforward Maconnais. It was imported by T.Edwards Wines, NY; and distributed by Devenish of Ellsworth, ME (another of our small regional distributors). Alcohol 13%. It gave overripe lemons and pears on the nose and upfront. Full body and lovely complexity with maybe a faint hint of oak crossed the palate, and the finish nearly broke records for a SW. We matched it with Sauteed Haddock a la Creme, and salad with vinaigrette dressing. Guest was impressed.
