A friend who vacationed in the French Alps brought back a bottle of Chardonnay that I fell in love with (he bought it in a grocery store basically by picking whatever looked good in the $7 US price range).

The label is remarkably generic and reads:

Cotes du Jura
Appelation Cotes du Jura Controllee
CHARDONNAY
1998
Mis en bouteille a la propriete par Fruitere Vincole de Voiteur (Jura) France

It has a small round sticker above the label that reads:

Concours Departemental Du Jura - Medaille Bronze 2000

Have tried doing a search of several wine sites (and a general Google search) to no avail.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I could locate this wine in the states?

Many thanks,

KKD

Hi KKD and welcome to the Wine Board. It is available from two sources at www.wine-searcher.com and at the same price your friend paid. However, both sources are in France. Seriously doubt if it is imported into the USA.
