- Innkeeper - 09-12-2008 2006 Four Vines, Naked Chardonnay, Santa Barbara County (13.99 NH Liq Store). Alcohol level: 13.9%. This is our quintessential New World oak free Chard under $20. It gives you a bouquet of fruit on the nose and upfront including pears, apples, melons, and more. On the palate you can tell that these grapes are from wonderful vines; giving you a rich blend of sweet and crisp including a hint of mango in the midst of acidity. Fantastic fruit! A dry and lingering finish follows. We matched it with another batch of Giada’s “Linguine with Shrimp and Lemon Oil.†Great meal! - Kcwhippet - 09-12-2008 Have you tried the Toad Hollow Chard, IK? - Innkeeper - 09-12-2008 Yes. And I like it too. |
