I've seen IK mention this wine often and finally had the chance to try a glass last Friday while lunching at St. Jacques Restaurant in Raleigh. Owner suggested a Saumur wine but I stuck with the Macon and really enjoyed it. Wasn't taking notes but it was food friendly (no oak treatment) and pleasant in its own right.

We had another bottle tonight with grillpanned pork chops and salad in blue cheese dressing. Wonderful!
