This is a 1er cru from Beauroy, my first Chablis in many years. Had picked it up at Costco back in June to try with a suitable menu. She provided the opportunity tonight with a shrimp in cream sauce with sngelhair pasta and tiny mushrooms. Holy smokes! Pale as a Sancerre, fruity on the nose with maybe a very slight touch of wood (but very slight indeed), lip-smacking on the palate, no strong citrus note at all, very nicely balanced, what I wish CA would produce with their Chardonnays. Perfect pairing. $17.89 and 13% alc/vol. Will definitely buy more if they're still available.

Love that snglehair pasta! Have it on my "to buy" list every time they offer it at Trader Toes. WW

I was wondering if it was snagglehaired pasta or single hair pasta (talk about a low-carb diet!)
