Our summertime quaffing wine this year is the 1998 Mill Creek, Napa Valley, Chardonnay. It normally runs $14.00 per bottle, but we managed to obtain a case for $150.00. Albeit that it is slightly oaked and maled, but the 80% Carneros grapes stand out on their own. The fruit is loaded with fresh apple and pear flavors, with very little of the buttery, oaky chardonnay characteristics that would take away from its summery appropriateness. Have enjoyed it with chicken, seafood, and, most importantly as an aperitif and cocktail wine. Hopefully, we will have a half case left for the week on the Delaware Beach at the end of September.

Innkeeper, I'm shocked! You keep this up, and not only will they kick you out of WITHSTAND, but they'll take away your piece of closeline too! (heeheehee)
