A local vineyard just up the road from me in Churchville, Maryland. My mother, who lives in a retirement community in Baltimore County, won this in a drawing at her community. A very clean wine showing nice tropical fruit and pear flavors. Good structure with a linguring finish. Minimal oak treatment although the label sez:
"Our Chardonnay exhibits notes of vanilla, lightly toasted French and American oak with a silky, buttery finish." I did not find that in this wine...nice for a local wine.

Drew,

Didn't you know that those back label notes are run off an assembly line? The winery orders them by the millions, and by the varietal wine. Standard verbiage to match what people are supposed to think certain wines taste like: Chardonnay; vanilla, buttery, etc.
