- amw5g - 08-19-2006 Not much of a dry white drinker, especially those with strong oak, but really like Mer Soleil. However in this area MS is outside or weekly wine budget. Any respectable wines in a similar vein that run around the $20 mark? - Innkeeper - 08-19-2006 Toad Hollow, Francine's Selection, Mendocino County, Chardonnay for around $12. - Botafogo - 08-19-2006 Carl, have you tasted the MS? I was going to suggest cutting out the middleman and just chewing on lumber. Toad Hollow is almost Chablis (the real thing!) by comparison... - Innkeeper - 08-20-2006 Haven't tasted the MS, but thought he would like the Toad Hollow as it is woodless, but has been maled. |
