I have a newly found love for wine and am having a hard time finding one that I really like. I am looking for something that is not bitter and does not have a bitter aftertaste and is light and fruity. Not sure if anyone can make any suggestions but it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi DK, and welcome to the Wine Board. Try a Beaujolais Villages (not a Beaujolais Nouveau), and match it with various kinds of burgers.

IK I just had a bottle of the Beaujolis villages nouveau It was from Parliament Import CO. out of New Jersey. Can you give me any info on this as it was the last bottle in the store on what they call a last chance rack for $6.99 it was 2005 not bad kinda light served chilled. I hate not knowing what I drank. The Beaujolis you mentioned is this sweet like a riesling , this is what my wife has favored so far

Nouveau is the wine that the folks in Beaujolais release within weeks of the harvest. There your '05 was released in '05. It is meant for immediate consumption and, at best, hints at how the vintage of the better (normally) crafted wines will taste. The '05 Nouveau is fading now, and would not have tasted as well as it did in November.
Try a Beaujolais Village that is not a Nouveau from the '03 or '04 vintage to see the difference. They will be fruity sweet not sugarly sweet like some Rieslings.
