Local pusher has these at VERY attractive pricing. The Clos is tight and in need of 3-5 but with all of the attributes of this illustrious Stags Leap property. 90/92. 18.99 by the box. 14.5% alc. The Geyser is solid Groom winemaking. Loads of fruit up front, lovely balance, and ready-teddy. 89/92 13.5% alc. 1.99 by the box. WW Had these with BigRed at lunch today along with the Merryvale posted next. WW

I like Geyser Peak but I doubt that they sell it for $1.99 per bottle even by the case. Typo?

One more victory for ole' fat-fingers. Completely missed the 2nd 1. 11.99 WW

That's still a very good price, WW. Have you heard about the 2001 Oberon Cabernet Sauvignon? Supposedly Robert Mondavi from Oakville vineyards some of which would normally go into Opus One and To Kalon. With luxury wine sales off following September 11th, rather than have the high-end wines sitting around or being sharply discounted in price, they bottled it under a less prestigious label. Carolina Wine Company is selling it for $19.99 ($17.99 by the case). I purchased one bottle and if it is really good I will go back and order more.
