87 La Jota -- Blech! Down the drain. The disposal ran in reverse for 10 minutes.

86 Buehler -- Just okay, pretty much over the proverbial hill and sliding fast. Down the drain.

86 Johnson-Turnbull VS 67 -- Pretty nice a few years ago, but definitely over the hill now, with bitter, sour flavors. Down the drain.

90 Robert Mondavi, Private Reserve -- Peaked and not going to get any better, the wine was an enjoyable CA Cab, very smooth, very polished, nice fruit, and a nice match for grilled NY Strip Steak.

That La Jota was NEVER good, was it??? I remember tasting several eighties vintages with the owner and thinking both they and she were dry as dust with no future.......

Some people love them -- I sold ALL of mine but this bottle (stained label) at auction.

Now you see why you've never seen me post on any of them suckers 'cept the Buehler. John occassionally hits a home-run.( 78 and 91 Reserve ) The Mondavi Reserves are not on my hit list very often either. The 94 shows some promise. I normally buy some but end up trading them babies to the same suckers that bought your La Jotas. WW
