Decided to open my only 1994 Cab. 13.2% alcohol. Not sure of original price but I doubt it was much. Some sediment in bottle neck and the cork was stained dark crimson-purple at the end nearest the wine. The color was a very dark purple/black, opaque. Somewhat lighter at the rim. It presented a nose of black currants and dark plums. The flavor followed suit with a little olive in the mix. Some soft tannins on the finish. Plenty of fruit; drinking well now. Soft enough to enjoy by itself; also nice matched with beef stir fry and flank steak.
