- winoweenie - 02-27-2009 Always close to the top of my favorite Meritages every vintage this sucker does NOTHING to diminish my preference. The darkest Affinity I've encountered. Blue-black in the glass. Lovely nose of Berries, cherries, vanilla and leather. Big entry, massive center and a 4&1/2 lapper finish. This beauty has poweer, intensity, and concentration all in a beautifully balanced package. Lovely bottle of juice. Enjoyed alone at the club yesterday as BRW was engaged in money pursuits. 92/95 36 by the box. Will post alc on next bottle as I'm too lazy to go in the cellar and check. WW - winoweenie - 11-29-2011 Alc 14.5%. This hummer has grown faster than a teen-ager on malted-milk steriods. Looks like this hummer is about to peak as If it gets much better my palate would be overwhelmed. Bobbie-Baby done himself proud with this killer bottling. Has enough structure to hold for at least 8-10. REALLY NEAT. WW RE: 2001 Robert Craig Affinity - winoweenie - 03-24-2014 Dead ATTOIG! Not a whale of a lot to add except EVERYTIME I open one of these suckers I marvel at the staying power and depth this meritage has. Getting a tad low on these. WW |
