nicely evolving wine, nose of ripe black and red fruit, sweet, leather and some hints of tobacco, solid structure.

Sounds great. We have it tagged to pop some time this year.

Popped ours last night and it was wonderful with rib eye steaks, baked potato, and green beans almondine. Is there a better way to spend a Saturday night?

We popped the '05 last night with seared and roasted rib eye with blue cheese, French broule, and a lovely salad.

Glad to see that he alky on this wonderful wine is still below 14%. The wine set off all kinds of bells and whistle and was as WW would say a 4 1/2 bell lapper. Another great Saturday night in Spring.

Tonight we popped the '06. This one was at the top of its game. Tastes just like a TJ Cab should. As usual it gave us a nose of ripe black and red fruit, sweet, leather and some hints of tobacco, solid structure. We matched it with rib eye steak, a nice bread, and salad.

Sounds like its ready to go! Great will pop one for some friends that are arriving in the next few weeks!

Popped the '07 Saturday night. It gave a very strong cabernet aroma on the nose, notably that of cassis and other fruit. The same came through on the first taste. In the middle were more gobs of fruit, a complex structure and a mere hint of oak. The finish went on and on.

We enjoyed it with a kind of special meal that we don’t do every day or week. It consisted of a wonderful thick porterhouse steak that we grilled on charcoal and mesquite chips, corn-on-the-cob, and sliced tomatoes. After finishing the wine we enjoyed freshly picked raspberries in whipped cream. Fantastic!

We popped the '08 as the first laydown of the year. It was the best wine we have had in a long, long time. It came in the Fall 2010 shipment. We celebrated MLK Day with it and a brown & roasted beautiful rib eye steak, baked Yukon Golds, and a lovely salad.

Although TJ wines are supposed to be ready on receipt, this one was perfect five plus years later. Yum.

Opened the '09 last night that had come with the Spring '12 shipment. To get more would have set one back by $48. The horsepower was 14.4%. Drank half with grilled rib eye, sweet potatoes, and green beans. Enjoyed the other half tonight with smoked St Louis ribs in sauce, green beans, and rolls. Yum!

The wine was as good and consistent as it always is. This may be our second to last one. We have the '10 downstairs, but are now getting only the journeyman wines with one surprise in each shipment.
