My gorgeous grand-daughter graduated from the UofA Yesserday and CB and I went to Tuscon. What a Ball! They handled the dept in a timely, professional manner and gave 300 of them DI-plomas out in less than an hour an' a haf. We had a dinner for 10 at our favorite restaurant in Tuscon, the Dakota, and took over 2 1990 Freemark Abby Bosches', 2 1990 Heitz Trailsides, and some SW's from Pride that my CB loves. If you are lucky 'nuff to own either of these two gems, them dudes be ready. The Bosch has an incredible nose like an early Caymus of the famous Rutherford Dust, lots of mature red fruits, a spicy complex character that reveals the solid core of vanilla, cassis, and a tad of bakers chocolate. 93-96. The Heitz served up the melange of red berries, clean tasty vanilla beans, a modicum of spices and soft supple tannins. This is a wine at its' peak. A great drinker. 91-93.
All in all a great time and showcases the benifits of marrying young, selling the kids early, and benifitting from enjoying your grand-kids while you are still in your late 30's. WW
