- winoweenie - 05-02-2002 Had a large lunch with some buddies so decided to snack and drink for the evening meal. Cut up some Cougar gold, a couplea' slices of cold rare prime, and sliced some crusty olive and pimento sourdough bread. This lil' sucker did a McDonnell and Eddy with the simple repast. Still a brite ruby with a classic cab nose. Lots of cassis and a scoch of Rutherford dust, red fruit out the kazoo and all in a silky package belying the 15 buck price-tag. Good entry, a medium center-palate and a decent finish.(about a 3-lapper). Still has some tannins to resolve but very close to the top of its' game. 88/90 |
