We're having a dinner party with a theme of the 1940's Supper Club. What wines would be have been served with a beef dinner during this era?

Depending on how you prepare the beef, a Claret( Bordeaux), a Burgandy, or a Rhone. About the only choices that were widely available in the US at the time. More info, more answers. winoweenie Oh yes Pat, Welcome to the board
