We're having an hor d'ourve night- I just made crostini and bruschetta- (found fresh basil and tomatoes)- plus my shrimp. Marinate in white wine, lemon juice and garlic- cook with bay leaf, evoo, red pepper flakes- remove shrimp, reduce sauce and plate with parsley. Yum.

Hubby's mom is making artichoke, crab and cheese dip. There will also be assorted cheeses and crackers.

Almost forgot the best part. Kraft mac and cheese for the young 'uns!

Sounds great CG. Here's a tech tip. If you are making a second or subsequent edit to a post, you can delete the previous "This message has been edited by so and so" line. That way is looks like you only screwed up once. Believe me, I do this a lot!

All fixed! Thanks IK!

So far, we've had my version of the venerable Classic Fondue ( Emmentaler, Gruyere, etc.), a bacon wrapped water chestnut dish and another fondue with Edam and avocado. More to come.
