From my jazz-loving buddy Jim Bundschu and his lovely Sonoma property. 6 generations and 135 consecutive harvests ,make this one of, if not the, oldest continuous producers in Calif. Deep ruby, cassis, cinnamon, cedar, and black fruits are prominamnt in the lovely aroma and all come across on the palate. This wine has been tasty since release so this ends up being the sole survivor. Now I'm into buyers remorse for not getting more. Silky entry, solid center and a great 4+-lapper finish. If any of you are lucky enough to have some of this hummer still in the clost, there are enough soft tannins to let it improve another 1-3. WW 90/95.17 by the box.13.9% alc.
