The more I see and taste the 99's the more I hate the fact my cellar is brimming over with the 2000 futures on the way. The Napa is deep ruby with no rim. Closed at first but opened up with a load of red fruits, bakers chocolate, cinnamon and cassis. Entry was a solid 9 with all of the tastes mirroring the nose and an added hint of mint. Solid center and a very strong finish. The suble tannins shut all down after about 30 seconds. This beauty will do some serios cellar time. The Elevation 1170 is more of the same with more concentration. Broke down and put in a mixed box of the two. Both wines will score as outstanding, aand are relarively well-priced on todays market. Under 40 on the Napa and 50 on the E. WW
