Bobs` wines made my must buy list faster than any wine . IMHO he has been making some of the finest P/Q wines in his category every vintage. The Affinity is a meritage that has been outstanding since inception. I loved the 94. It went dormant a year ago and has just now started wakin` up. Deep crimson with spicy, berry, floral nuances. Releases gobs of juicy berry aromas and flavors after an hour in the glass. Solid entry with a big center feel and a long finish. Still shrouded by a cloak of sturdy tannins that`ll take at least another 4-5 to shed. If you can find any of his 97 releases ( Howell Mtn, and Mt. Veeder besides the Affinity ) I strongly suggest taking as large a position as finances allow. His wines are always rated exceptional and still sell in the 40`s. Besides that, he`s a really nice man. winoweenie
