- DHGoyins - 05-26-2000 I recently purchased two magnums of Forman's 1997 Cabernet. I believe Ric Forman of Napa Valley is the wine maker. The wine was rated 95-100 points (in the barrel) by Wine Spectator in 1998. Oddly, I could not find anything on the internet about Forman wine's. Has anyone experience with this particular vintage (97) or Forman's cabernet wines in any earlier vintage? - Thomas - 05-26-2000 Forman wines are personal statements. They are often big, chewy and rich: a great study. - winoweenie - 05-27-2000 I`ve been a great fan of Ric`s since his early days at Sterling. He makes wines of substance and character that will improve greatly with time in bottle. Had a 90 last week and it still needs time. Hold these mags as long as you can. you`ll be rewarded.Winoweenie |
