This bottling has matured into one of the best Souverains I've had in years. Deep ruby, with currents, bakers chocolate, black fruits and spicy notes on the nose and palate. A weighty center and 3&1/2 lapper finish make for a very lovely bottle. Still have some of the winemakers reserve but, sadly, this was my last regular bottling. 87/91. 13 bny the box. WW

Have always enjoyed the Ch. Souvrain's for the extra little punch of spice they seem to display.

The 97s, 99s', and 2000s' all be kick-patootie juice for their P/Q. All in good quantity in the fridge. WW
