Last night I gave a wine and chocolate tasting as a fund raiser for New Yorkers For Parks--a volunteer group that keeps the city's parks in good order.

The chocolates were provided by Guitard, out of San Francisco.

Paired Louis Sacy Pink Champagne with white chocolate--nice; Lenz (Long Island) 2001 Merlot with 38% cocoa milk chocolate--ok; Chateau Fonbadet 1999 Pauillac with 62% cocoa chocolate--real nice; 1997 Offley Late Bottled Vintage Port with 78% cocoa chocolate--incredibly good.

Finished the night with 2002 Prejean (Finger Lakes) Chardonnay. clean, SSteel wine--fine; Pinno (Graham's So. Africa Pinotage) I forget the vintage--deep, chocolatey on its own.

A fine evening all around, and I donated sales of my book sold at the event to the parks group.

What's the Pinno? Does Graham market this or is it only sold in certain markets?WW

WOW, thirty plus people.

WW, I meant Graham Beck--the Pinno is a Pinotage.
