While dining at a French restaraunt last Thursday, I was treated to the best wine I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. A white Burgundy.

PULIGNY MONTRACHET 2000 Olivier Le Flaive.

Does anyone know where I might find this wine to buy and how much I might expect to pay for it?

Would it be selfish of me to not share it with anyone other than my wife? Any comments?

Wine-searcher.com shows it in Oregon in half-bottle for $22.10. Search on Puligny Montrachet and you'll see it pop up. In CA, you could check with our esteemed member Roberto Botofogo in Santa Monica; he might be able to direct you to it. He's at Wine Expo.

If it's special to you, go ahead and share it with only the wife. Hope she likes it too.

You should be aware that there's more to white Burgundy than Olivier Leflaive. There are some very, very nice ones from Chartron et Trebuchet. This past week, I've tasted some really nice efforts of theirs from Rully, Chassagne-Montrachet, Corton-Charlamagne aas well as the Puligny-Montrachet, and a few others.
