I'm wondering what the laws are for direct shipment from a winery to a store. I know that each state is different, but anyone know what the laws are in your state?
I am starting a new job with a very small production Sonoma winery and I make money on each case I sell. Doesn't matter where it is.
They are not fond of distributorships because they get virtually no attention yet they should! Their winemaker cut his teeth at Matanzas Creek and Ferrari-Carano here in the states as well as working in Barossa and Stellenbosch.
I've only had their Merlot so far and it is highly concentrated, beautifully balanced wine.
I would love any and all comments/advice.

Here in MA the three tier system is the only legal way to get wine. Have you looked this up at http://www.wineinstitute.com or some of the other web sites related to wine business?
