I just recieved my Turley Wine Cellars news letter & noticed shipments to Fl. add 6% sales tax. Has new legislation passed that I am not aware of ????.

We have big hopes for food & wine friendly Jeb, He recently passed the three phase death sentence for the alcohol surcharge tax. Restaurants in Florida ( not retail or package store - they are exempt) have been paying a surcharge of $12.43 per/gal. booze, $4.90 per/gal. wine & so on. This may not sound like much to casual observers - but, in my case, the savings will basically pay my home mortgage payment every month. I'm sure volume restaurants who have serious wine sales (Randy?) are are turning cartwheels over this. Go JEB! now if we can only get rid of these pesky music orgs. like ASCAP & BMI.....thats another debate altogether.

My aplologies for rambling, my question - has someone finally come up with a way around the felony laws imposed by many states?
