Can anyone tell me when open the bottle day is. I read in WS lat year that every February there is a designated ' open the bottle night".

Hi

Can't help with the correct answer--but it seems that if you opened one everyday you could not miss--and this year you get 29 chances!!!

Wall Street Journal wine columnists say February 28th is the night. It's a Saturday so go for it! I expect to be in Charleston or Myrtle Beach, SC that night and will probably be having some wine with dinner.

The Wall Street Journal wine columnists started a campaign to designate one night each year as "Open That Old Bottle Night", as a way to encourage their readers to finally open an old bottle they've been holding on to for years. The first was only in '99, as I recall. The writers, a husband and wife team, are a fun read. Their column "Tastings" appears in the Weekend section of each Friday edition. They alone designate the date for OTOBN each year.
