- Inamorata - 02-28-2003 Planning a romantic dinner of angel hair pasta (with homemade spaghetti sauce), tossed salad, garlic bread (light on the garlic )and some sort of cheesecake for desert. Any suggestions for a complete novice? - Innkeeper - 02-28-2003 Hi Inamorata, and welcome to the Wine Board. If it is a tomato sauce recommend a light Barbera d'Asti (i.e. less than $15). If it is a white sauce recommended a Vermentino. For dessert get a half bottle of a muscat based dessert wine either Italian or domestic. (I'll start by learning to spell dessert.. lol) |
