Planning a romantic dinner of angel hair pasta (with homemade spaghetti sauce), tossed salad, garlic bread (light on the garlic )and some sort of cheesecake for desert. Any suggestions for a complete novice?

Hi Inamorata, and welcome to the Wine Board. If it is a tomato sauce recommend a light Barbera d'Asti (i.e. less than $15). If it is a white sauce recommended a Vermentino. For dessert get a half bottle of a muscat based dessert wine either Italian or domestic.

Thank you so much for your suggestions, must admit I'm completely clueless, but willing to learn! (I'll start by learning to spell dessert.. lol)
