Background:
The Detroit International Wine Auction benefits scholarships
and community programs at the College for Creative Studies.
Last year’s event grossed approximately $500,000.

Details

Winemaker Dinner:
Friday, October 18, 7 p.m. at Tribute Restaurant in Farmington Hills
This evening provides a rare opportunity to dine in an intimate setting with Honorary Chair Larry Maguire. Guests have the opportunity to purchase selected lots during a silent auction before dinner and a live auction during dinner. A delightful dinner at Tribute, prepared by Chef Takashi Yagihashi, will be complemented by some of Mr. Maguire’s favorite Far Niente wines. This event is limited to 100 people, with priority ticketing at the benefactor and patron levels.

Wine Auction Gala:
Saturday, October 19 at Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center
Three events in one single evening bring new tastes and to discover new tastes and bid on unique items including travel packages and original works of art.

Honorary Chair's Wine Reception
Date: Saturday, October 19
Time: 5 p.m.
Location: Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center
Cost: $200 per person (included in auction ticket price at the benefactor level)
Attire: Black Tie
Description: The Honorary Chair’s Reception allows guests the chance to hear
Mr. Maguire describe some of his favorite wines in a casual setting. This private tasting event immediately precedes the main auction.

Wine Auction
Date: Saturday, October 19
Time: 6 p.m.
Attire: Black Tie
Description: The wine auction features both silent and live auction items featuring an array of wine lots plus, non-wine lots such as dinners, travel packages and unique work of art created by CCS students, faculty and alumni. The silent auction begins at 6 p.m. and closes in segments until 10 p.m. During this time, the Rare Wine Bar will offer wine samples priced from $10 - $80 per 3-ounce taste. The dinner wine offerings will be described during the course of the meal.

Afterglow
Date: Saturday, October 19th
Time: Immediately Following Live Auction
Location: Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center
Cost: $100/person (included in auction ticket price at the benefactor and patron levels)
Attire: Black Tie
Description: Mr. Maguire will close the evening with a small party featuring port and rare wines in a riverfront suite at the Renaissance Center.
