PASCAL MARCHAND
Domaine de la Vougeraie
Thursday, April 29th

Join us for a tasting with Pascal Marchand – Thursday, April 29th. Many of you will remember Pascal as the winemaker at Comte Armand, who is famous for his terroir comment “I don’t make Pinot Noir – I make Pommard” . Having taken over the winemaking at Domaine de la Vougeraie, Pascal now makes a broad selection of wines from Beaune to Gevrey-Chambertin, each expressing the authority and personality of their individual terroirs.

We’ll taste a selection of his stunning 2001 reds, and if they arrive in time
for the tasting, a sneak preview of the luscious 2002s. And while most of the 01s have sold out, we want to give you the experience of tasting these exceptional wines with Pascal, the man who produces Burgundies, not just Pinot Noir.

The tasting begins at 6:30 and concludes at 8 p.m. It’s an informal stand-up tasting, with Pascal leading us through the wines and discussion. There is a $20.00 per person event fee. Reservations are required. Cancellations are accepted until Saturday, April 24th. Any cancellations after April 24th are subject to a $10.00 service fee.
