There's a series of tastings going on at a local retailer (not mine), and Verne said I should post on them - so here goes. The shop decided that one grand tasting wasn't enough, so they're bringing in one distributor a week for 8 weeks. Today was United Distributors. Just as an added note, Judy noticed that the Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut and the Simi Landslide seemed "a bit off". The folks pouring weren't quite sure she knew what was what, but the United guy knew Judy had a really good palate and told them to open new bottles. Huge differences.

Also, if I can find the sheets from last week's tasting, I'll post it also. We won't be going to next week's tasting because we're leaving for Disney World a week from today and returning on the following Saturday.

Oh, BTW, I don't know if I mentioned it yet, but I popped a hernia at the gym a week ago last Wednesday. The owner at the shop is a bit ticked because I'm not supposed to lift more than 10 pounds off the floor. The doc wouldn't do the operation before we went to FL because it would be too short a recovery, so I get it done on the 21st. Ouch.

Ow! No lifting anything heavier than a wine glass with a 2 oz pour. Best wishes, Bob.
