Tastes Like a Cabernet But Isn't - Winenot - 07-08-2015 I'm going to a wine tasting with friends who are very knowledgeable; I am not. I need to bring a red wine - just not a Cabernet or Cab blend. In the mix will be a 40th Anniversary Caymus. The challenge is to bring a red that might fool people into thinking it is a Cabernet; the Caymus. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. RE: Tastes Like a Cabernet But Isn't - Innkeeper - 07-09-2015 Hi Winenot and welcome to the Wine Board. Ask you wine merchant for the most overblown Merlot that he has. That should do it. RE: Tastes Like a Cabernet But Isn't - Innkeeper - 07-09-2015 Let's just say it is much more than your average Merlot. Your purveyor will be able to explain it more thoroughly. |
