2010 Tignanello IGT - TheEngineer - 12-14-2014

Unlike the song, Its all about the Bass...this wine is all about the balance.

I mean certainly not a shy wine, beautiful wood front an center but it is so well presented and wrapped up. I's nose has vanilla, lush fruit, berries, cassis. On the palate, certainly it has another hit of oak but the wine is so balance, that layers of fruit start to you. All the while, you start ot notice that the tannins are quite there, good for more life, and there is a bit of heat but that was really the only issue for me. Wonderful smooth texture, good structure, acidity and great long finish.
